During this reporting period, four PREA investigators completed specialized training. The team reviewed two PREA investigations and provided feedback on the content, supporting evidentiary documents, interviews, and the investigator's summary. The team discussed PREA Standards 115.331, 115.363, and 115.367.
The team discussed the PREA auditor selected, the onsite audit date and audit preparation process. The team reviewed the preparation progress for the PREA Audit on July 1-3, 2024. The PC uploaded all required information and documentary evidence in the PRC's Online Auditing System (OAS). The team reviewed and discussed various PREA Standards and corresponding physical evidence that would demonstrate WCJDC compliance. The coach answered questions about the upcoming PREA audit.
The team reviewed four PREA standards (115.316, 115.333, 115.51, and 115.64). The PREA first-responder kit with shoe coverings, gloves, brown bags, caution tape, important numbers, and flow chart are labeled and ready to use.
The zero-tolerance signs were replaced and have the accurate Spanish versions to accompany. The agency is utilizing the PRC's PREA education video. A pat search training date is scheduled for July 2024. Two-way mirrors were installed on the exterior of the gym doors to address blind spots.
