Center staff met virtually with each FY24 grantee site one-on-one to assess their goals and needs. Center staff then conducted six interactive webinars for all new grantees discussing the essential elements required to successfully operate a community court program. New grantees were also invited to attend one of two regional community court convenings. TTA providers also worked with the sites to complete their Enhancement Checklists and Implementation Action Plans. TTA providers are currently working with the sites to finalize their Individualized TTA Plans. The Skagit County Community Court in Washington continues to enhance their current system by expanding their team to fill the needs of their extensive program. This year, two new positions to the Community Court Team were added, which include an additional Probation Officer II and a part-time Office Assistant III. The positions have allowed Skagit to continue to expand and helped the team effectively manage the ever-increasing census of participants. Further, the site has enhanced their community courts knowledge by attending the Centers webinars and conferences to keep staff informed of the latest trends. Representatives from Skagit County Community Court attended the RISE24 Conference in Anaheim, California as well their state’s Probation Association and Drug Court Professionals conference. Skagit County will attend the Mentor Court site visit to Spokane with the Center, in the hopes of connecting with the Center for an in person visit, in the near future.
