The PREA Management Office (PMO) and the National PREA Resource Center (PRC) hosted a four hour convening event on Saturday, January 6, 2024, for PREA stakeholders as part of the American Correctional Association (ACA) winter conference in National Harbor, MD. The convening featured updates from leaders of the PMO and the PRC, as well as timely and relevant topics for juvenile justice and correctional facilities, agencies, PREA auditors, advocates, and other stakeholders interested in discussing PREA implementation and its challenges. There were opportunities for networking with auditors and implementers from across the country, as well as discussion groups regarding the audit, working with the community-based service providers, and supporting reporting and investigation cultures, and opportunities to ask questions.

In order to attend the PREA Stakeholder event, attendees had to first register for the ACA conference as this was not a free pre-conference event. ACA charges a conference registration fee in order to attend conference workshops, etc.
