"Objective 1: Individualized Technical Assistance to Grantees In March, WADOC reported that the legislation proposal that they plan to present during the January 2025 legislative session is progressing slowly. WADOC is discussing whether the statewide court, where the proposal will be implemented, is permitted to oversee felony-based charges. WADOC reported that the Spokane Regional Domestic Violence Center timeline for the legislative proposal is pending closure of another grant program with a deadline of June 2024. In July 2024, WADOC aims to set up bimonthly meetings with Spokane Regional, AGâs Office, and WADOC to discuss the movement of the proposal. Currently, WADOC has 27 participants in the program, 7 of whom have failed to report, 3 who have violations or new charges, 3 who have not been released, and 14 who are active and in compliance with the Relationship Advantage Domestic Violence Program. There is a pattern of participants failing to report beyond the first meeting, so WADOC is considering potential sanctions to address this behavior. WADOC reports that individuals released from prison are being given calling cards, but since most areas lack phone booths, WADOC is considering setting up pre-paid cellphones to enable communication with Parole post-release. "
