Objective 1: Individualized Technical Assistance to Grantees In February, CSG Justice Center staff learned that WADOC is still working on implementing the community-based program and addressing problems as they arise. The biggest issues currently are the release process, coordination, and resources for participants being paroled from DOCs. WADOC reported that they have met with DOC staff and formulated a 10-day window leading up to release to ensure that the COOs can meet with the individual before release to provide program details and requirements and notify Bind-Link, regional dispatch system, and any victims of the upcoming release. On the legislation side, the legislation proposal is slow-moving; however, WA DOC are planning to present it during the January 2025 session. The Spokane Regional Domestic Violence Center has identified sponsors and is in the process of drafting a framework and conducting groundwork. The COOs attended the Spokane Regional Domestic Violence Conference from February 27â"29. During the conference, the COOs spoke to individuals about what the program can offer.Â
