NPI allocated a portion of the remaining microgrant funding to support conference and event attendance. This training and event support will give many agencies access to events and trainings that they would not otherwise have access to in an effort to help further enhance their departments and agencies.
NPI will support up to 10 individuals to attend this training course, which includes the training. The International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Annual Conference and Exposition is the largest and most impactful law enforcement event of the year – more than 16,000 public safety professionals come to learn new techniques, advance their knowledge and careers, and equip their department for ongoing success.
The three tenets of the conference are training, networking, and exhibit hall education. IACP 2023 spanned four days of education and networking. The exposition was open Sunday – Tuesday of the conference to meet with more than 600 vendors showcasing products and services to assist the law enforcement profession.
