White Earth Nation is working with a nonprofit called Niibi Center with the goal of developing traditional Anishinaabe Law in collaboration with the White Earth courts. Request is for resources for development and training that might have available. Also a request for a person to participate in an upcoming conference they have in achieving this same goal. The initial call was held on March 22, 2024. TLPI identified consultant Korey Wahwassuck to attend the 2nd Annual Anishinaabe Law conference on June 23-24, 2024 at Mahnomen, MN. TLPI submitted TTA workplan to BJA on 6/11/24 and it was approved on 6/18/04. TLPI and TLPI consultant had a call with Niibi to discuss agenda and focus of the conference and TLPI consultant developed curriculum and provided keynote and facilitation for a judicial panel.
