Questions?

Submitted by Jennifer Palmer on

In July, staff from the CSG Justice Center expanded their efforts to develop relationships and plan for implementation across grantee states. This included virtual meetings with stakeholders in Arizona, Oregon, Wisconsin, Illinois, and North Carolina.
In Arizona, the team presented virtually to a full meeting of the Arizona Criminal Justice Commission, (AZJC) whose members include stakeholders from across the state. The presentation resulted in some interesting questions and follow-up, including interest from a county that wants to be the first to pilot Justice Counts in the state. ?Staff from AZJC have identified additional counties to approach as well. Additionally, the recording of the webinar from June was distributed to the AZJC listserv of approximately 500 people.
In Oregon, CSG Justice Center staff provided a demo and credentials for Justice Counts Publisher to staff from the Oregon Criminal Justice Commission and started working on coordination for data entry and strategizing on sector-specific outreach. Additionally, staff from the Oregon Criminal Justice Commission met with staff from the New Mexico DataXChange to discuss statewide data strategies and challenges.
CSG Justice Center staff also worked with staff from the Wisconsin Department of Justice to continue planning for implementation and mapping out the next three years of activity and plan for a future site visit.
In Illinois, the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority (ICJIA), hosted and facilitated the first Justice Counts key agency leadership meeting attended by representatives from the Department of Corrections, State Police, Probation Department, and Administrative Office of the Courts to discuss roles and responsibilities and data mapping.?
In North Carolina, CSG Justice Center staff worked to finalize the Planning and Implementation Guide.
In Georgia, CSG Justice Center staff presented to the Standing Committee on Judicial Workload Assessment. This was a part of awareness for implementation grantee Georgia Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC). There were 30 call attendees including judges, court staff, clerks of court, and AOC staff.??
