Intelligence Summit Task Teams – During this reporting period, IIR continued managing the CICC’s six Intelligence Summit Focus Area Task Teams.

This included:
• Scheduling task team meetings
• Taking meeting notes
• Working with task team chairs and co-chairs to produce a set of task team recommendations for submission to DHS, the CICC, the Global Advisory Committee (GAC), and BJA.

During this period, from July through early September, each task team met on a bi-weekly basis. IIR staff provided meeting support, meeting summaries, and prepared agendas in advance of each meeting. IIR staff also convened virtual meetings of the task team chairs, CICC, GAC, and DHS leadership to discuss progress, challenges, and delays.

Once the task teams determined their proposed deliverables (several teams had multiple deliverables recommended), IIR staff consolidated and finalized the work of all teams into a summary, titled “CICC 2022 Intelligence Summit Task Team Project Update (Update Document),” which was shared with task team chairs and co-chairs, as well as with the CICC, GAC, DHS, and BJA leadership for review. Following review approval by the CICC, GAC, DHS, and BJA, the recommended deliverables in the Update Document were sent to the CICC and the GAC for final approval, which received unanimous approval at a combined in-person meeting of the CICC and GAC on September 22, 2023.

Following CICC/GAC approval, IIR staff worked with the CICC, DHS, and BJA leadership to further prioritize the proposed deliverables to determine which would be addressed first under this award.

In addition to more than two dozen virtual meetings, during this reporting period, the following deliverables were produced and approved by relevant committees and task teams.

• CICC 2022 Intelligence Summit Task Team Project Update
• Revised CICC Mission Statement
• CICC Policy Framework and Scoping Document

NSI Indicator Review Project—During this reporting period, IIR staff met with representatives from START and NCITE on bi-weekly meetings to discuss the project, and receives updates on their respective progress. IIR also met with DHS staff monthly to provide regular project updates. START and NCITE provided their draft reports to IIR in mid-November 2023. IIR staff began their review of the draft reports in December with the expectation that IIR will provide feedback to both START and NCITE in early January 2024. IIR anticipates that the DHS will have the final draft reports during the first quarter of 2024.
