During this reporting period, PREA signage was updated and posted throughout the facility. PREA inmate brochures were developed and printed. The PREA brochure was added to inmate intake bags to provide information on PREA zero tolerance, inmate's rights, and reporting access. The quad-fold folders are English on one side and Spanish on the other. The coaches continued to help develop the staffing plans for the jail and work annex and it is near completion. The team reviewed the relevant PREA standard and revised the staffing plans by adding data, floor plans, organizational charts, program activity schedules, and camera locations. The information needed is a breakdown of PREA allegations/investigations and unannounced rounds documentation. One agencyPREA Compliance Manager, (PCM) attended the PREA Convening on November 29-30, 2023. The PCM trained staff using the staff training presentation developed in collaboration with the coaches. Other training sessions for the remaining current staff are scheduled. The PCM's stated they feel comfortable in their PREA duties and better understand the PREA processes and coordinated efforts at the jail and work annex. The PCMs communicate regularly with each other on PREA issues. PREA-related data collection was discussed, and recommendations were made for additions to Jail Suite. This information is needed for risk screenings, annual reporting, staffing plan reviews, and reporting to USDOJ. The PREA risk screening and re-screening process was discussed. The team discussed the requirement for asking inmates directly about their LGBTI status. Classification practices were reviewed and discussed.
