As follow-up to the July 2023 RVCRI program webinar (hosted by the National Policing Institute, fellow program TTA provider with LISC) entitled "Establishing Connections: Integrating Victim Services in Rural Law Enforcement Agencies Webinar", the Tamaqua, PA grantee site (supported by LISC TTA) requested the opportunity for a follow-up consultation with subject matter expert Amy Duvall (Office of for Victims of Crime fellow).
After a written request from the site, Amy, along with National Policing Institute staff, provided significant resource dissemination to the site via email. The initial request centered on training opportunities for law enforcement and community partners when responding to delayed case reporting and investigations. A subsequent request from the site involved guidance and best practices on setting up a demo training exercise for best practices in all-around multi-system response to forensic exams for both children and adult victims. This request was the focal point for a site discussion with Amy (hosted by LISC staff) on December 5th, 2023. Amy subsequently provided additional resource dissemination to site partners and offered additional virtual consultations in 2024, if needed.
