Virtual Course: During this reporting period, interviews with CenTF SMEs were completed for all seven course module topics. The development process for each module will undergo the following phases: content outline, blueprint, storyboard, alpha and beta reviews, and final confirmation. The following reflects the activity completed for, and status of, each module during this timeframe:
▪ Module one, the storyboard completed a first round of reviews.
▪ Modules two to five, the storyboards are in development.
▪ Modules six and seven are in the blueprint phase.
Podcast Series: The first podcast, in this five-part podcast series, titled Proactive Policing in Today’s Society for Multijurisdictional and Specialty Enforcement Units, was published to the CenTF website on September 19, 2023. Podcast 1, titled “Officer Safety in Proactive Units,” was approved by BJA prior to publishing and outreach materials were prepared and widely disbursed, including an article in the Criminal Intelligence Council’s weekly Five in 5 newsletter. Podcast 2, titled “Use of Force Policy Considerations,” was recorded on October 20, 2023. By the end of this reporting period, the final recording of podcast 2 was in review at BJA.
IIR continued to provide online training, available nationwide, including website maintenance, LMS support, and help desk assistance for the following virtual courses which allow users to earn certificates of completion:
1. Executive Leadership
2. Task Force Commander Leadership and Management
3. Safeguarding Privacy, Civil Rights, and Civil Liberties in Task Force Operations
4. Methamphetamine Investigative Management
