"To offer training and support to these grantees on a national level, BJA, with the support of its technical assistance provider The Council of State Governments Justice Center (CSGJC), convened a National Crisis Stabilization and Community Reentry Program Symposium on September 13th and 14th, 2023. This 1.5-day event will bring together federal officials, state and local leaders, nonprofit service providers, reentry and behavioral health professionals to discuss best practices and strategies for implementation for providing ongoing crisis stabilization services to those with behavioral health needs. It will feature a combination of plenary sessions led by federal, state, local, and nonprofit leaders as well as small group sessions on key topics such as cross-systems collaboration between reentry and crisis stakeholders, crisis system mapping to support recovery and safety planning, developing sound case management and transition practices in reentry, and ensuring equity in connections to care.  The event will also provide structured networking and peer learning opportunities for the attendees.
