• Heather Perez became the PSN TTA Project Director on July 1. All directly related responsibilities and activities should be captured by CNA in their semi-annual reporting.
• Worked with SME Didi Nelson to develop a “New to PSN” resource. CNA will add branding once approved by BJA.
• Worked with SME Didi Nelson to revise the Research Partner Frequently Asked Questions. CNA will add branding once approved by BJA.
• Worked with SME Didi Nelson to revise the Violence Reduction Assessment Tool. MSU is looking for a new platform for the tool.
• The MSU team contributed to development of content and identification of presenters for the PSN Summit, tentatively set for December 11-13, in Indianapolis.
• Heather Perez reengaged with SME Julie Wartell and the PSN POC for Rhode Island to discuss crime analysis training.
• Heather Perez presented at CNA’s virtual, Project on American Justice on August 30.
• Heather Perez designed and used PSN TTA grant funds to purchase conference materials to support awareness of the program will at conferences/meetings.
• Heather Perez, SMEs Charley Gilberti and Jason Ingram conducted a site visit on 9/20-9/22 with Shreveport/LAW to begin developing a case study on their violent crime reduction partnership. Heather met with Bill Taylor and Asha Collins ahead of the visit to gather PSP information.
• Chris Melde and SME David Pyrooz began developing group and youth violence related TTA materials to include three short webinars.
• Heather Perez, Chris Melde and Brandon Turchan began discussion with the MIW for MSU to become the district’s research partner.
• Heather Perez met with Chris Melde on campus on 8/22-23 to discuss the PSN grant and closeout activities.
• Heather Perez continued to act as an Analyst for the Pacific and South Central regions.
• MSU continued to contribute content to Tweets, Newsletter and website.
• Heather Perez met with the District of Wyoming to support the PSN team with reinvigorating their efforts.
• MSU supported NDAA with their development of content and presenters for a virtual Youth Summit.
• Heather Perez provided BJA with a data call request in August.
• Heather Perez worked with Hildy Saizow, CNA to develop draft community engagement courses. Funding to support the development and delivery is underway as BJA sees value in this unique resource.
• Ed McGarrell and Heather Perez worked with Shila Hawk, LEC GAN, and Rachel Johnston, CNA to develop summer surge violence reduction materials for the districts. The basis will be used during a PSN breakout planning session at the Summit.
• MSU worked with CNA to close out a TTA request with the ILN on developing a community survey.
• MSU identified a SME to talk with WAE/Yakima on conducting a NFS review. The peer exchange went well and addressed the district’s current needs.
• Heather Perez shared a PowerPoint presentation she created on the history of PSN with CNA to use to educate PSP sites.
• MSU provided support to MIW/Lansing to support the PSN team with reinvigorating their efforts.
