As part of CHJ's intensive TTA, individual calls will be scheduled with new FY22 grantees. Initial introductory calls included discussion about: the grantees project and deflection initiative; identifying top priorities the grantee have for their program over the next 3-6 months; and discussion to determine at what level of readiness is the grantee’s program currently at to implement these priorities.
Call occurred 4/6/23 Grantee had reached out to CHJ at the advice of their BJA program advisor because they were awarded the COSSAP grant ($1M) to fund a post overdose response team. Their budget was under review and revisions were needed, they were also struggling to utilize the full amount of the grant.
Discussion surrounded post-overdose outreach models and staffing or supply needs of these models. The grantee planned to work with their team internally to review program design, including information provided by CHJ on deflection programs, and revised their budget. There budget was subsequently resubmitted.
4/26/23 Grantee indicated their budget was revised and submitted for approval.
