In March, CSG Justice Center staff continued to socialize the guidelines and engage key partners in the field, further developed outreach strategies and project next steps, finalized the technical assistance materials, conducted a webinar for Multi Health Systems (MHS) with Dr. Sarah Desmarais, and finalized presentations for the MHS and Association of Paroling Authorities International (APAI) conferences. Throughout the month, the project team met with internal CSG Justice Center colleagues, including the Communications team, to finalize the introductory webinar presentation, review the self-assessment tool and finalize the results page, develop a promotion plan for technical assistance opportunities, and further develop an outreach strategy.

On March 1, CSG Justice Center staff and Dr. Sarah Desmarais (President, Policy Research Associates) provided a presentation and facilitated discussion to MHS about the National Guidelines for Post-Conviction Risk and Needs Assessments.

On March 6, CSG Justice Center met with the BJA policy and Communications teams to provide a walkthrough of the following new TA opportunity documents: (1) request for applications, (2) application web form outline, (3) applicant scoring sheet, (4) Level 1 TA request web form outline, (5) Communications promotion plan for the TA opportunities, (6) press release, (7) one-pager (external), and (8) timeline. During the meeting, the group also discussed any next steps or action items and how the CSG Justice Center project team can be most helpful in moving these materials forward. All materials were approved during the meeting.

On March 7, the CSG Justice Center and BJA conducted a webinar to introduce the 13 guidelines, provide an overview of the suite of resources available, and announce new opportunities available for states to receive support with implementation of the guidelines.

On March 22, CSG Justice Center staff shared the following documents related to the new TA opportunities to add to the BJA website: (1) Application Form for TA with updated logos (web-based), (2) Level 1 TA request form (web-based), (3) Final RFA with 508 compliance, (4) Communications promotion plan for the TA opportunities, (5) final press release, and (6) conference proposals for ACA and ICJA. Additionally, CSG Justice Center staff also shared a deliverable review timeline, which provides an overview of the deliverables being shared, including a description and a timeline for expected review and release dates.

On March 31, the CSG Justice Center and BJA released the new TA opportunities materials on their respective websites.
