In February, CSG Justice Center staff continued to socialize the guidelines and engage key partners in the field, further developed outreach strategies and project next steps, finalized the technical assistance strategies, worked to complete the introductory webinar presentation, and finalized presentations for the American Probation and Parole Association (APPA) winter training institutes. Throughout the month, the project team continuously met with internal CSG Justice Center colleagues, including the Communications team, to finalize the introductory webinar presentation, review the self-assessment tool and continue developing the respective results page, finalize the technical assistance opportunities, and further develop the outreach strategy.
On February 3, CSG Justice Center staff shared with BJA the draft of the introductory webinar presentation. The slides used were those previously reviewed and approved by BJA for the Correctional Leaders Association (CLA) conference presentation earlier this year, with some additions to introduce the new TA opportunities.
On February 23, CSG Justice Center staff shared the following documents related to the new TA opportunities for review and approval: (1) request for applications, (2) application web form outline, (3) applicant scoring sheet, (4) Level 1 TA request web form outline, (5) communications promotion plan for the TA opportunities, (6) press release, and (7) one-pager (external).
Additionally, we also shared a deliverable review timeline document, which provides an overview of the deliverables being shared, including a description and a timeline for expected review and release dates. Much of the information included in these documents has already been reviewed. Finally, CSG Justice Center staff sent BJA the agenda for the upcoming meeting to walk through the draft materials for TA opportunities.
CSG Justice Center staff presented at the APPA Winter Regional Training Institutes in Philadelphia, PA, on February 13 and Los Angeles, CA, on February 27.
CSG Justice Center staff have also been working with APPA and CLA on finalizing contracts to collaborate on project dissemination and engagement.
