On Thursday, July 6, at 2:00pm ET, the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) Rural Violent Crime Reduction Initiative (RVCRI) is hosting a webinar on providing victim services in rural communities, best practices, and lessons learned.
Attendees will hear from Caroline Huffaker, Senior Program Manager at the National Policing Institute and former Victim Services Director of the Chattanooga, Tennessee Police Department, and Amy Durall, Office for Victims of Crime fellow. During the event, attendees will:
1. Learn about the critical importance of victim services and how it is part of daily criminal justice interactions.
2. Gain knowledge and understanding of victim services through a dedicated unit and each officer in the field.
3. Hear best practices for implementing a victim-centered approach.
4. Identify partners or providers on a national and local level.
5. Connect with victim services experts.

- The benefits or anticipated outcomes from the receipt of TTA services.
By submitting this application to BJA NTTAC, I understand that upon approval of this application for TTA, the requestor agrees to keep BJA NTTAC informed of any circumstances that may impact the delivery of the TTA, including changes in the date of the event, event cancellation, or difficulties communicating with the assigned TTA provider.
