NW3C provided staff Moe McClanahan to conduct prevention presentations called "Community Internet Safety". The presentation is described as, "All presentations discuss the importance of being cyber safe. The numbers do not lie, the reports of online child exploitation continue to rise at a rapid pace as more and more children have access to technology, especially since the pandemic. It is important for children to be aware of the dangers of grooming, sexting, sextortion and cyberbullying. Then equip them with safer choices and action steps. It is even more important that parents are aware of what their children are being exposed when connected to school issued chromebooks, mobile devices and gaming consoles. Teaching the parents, the fundamental rule of no devices in bedroom or bathrooms, encouraging monitoring app and weekly device check-ins will help save more children from falling victim to online predators, peer pressure from classmates and cyberbullying."
