In October, CSG Justice Center staff continued to socialize the guidelines and engage key partners in the field, further developed outreach strategies and project next steps, and began planning the introductory webinar. Throughout the month, the project team continuously met with internal CSG Justice Center colleagues, including the Communications team, to discuss the introductory webinar presentation, webinar Communications plan, review of the self-assessment tool, and further development of the outreach strategy.
During the month, CSG Justice Center staff worked on the draft presentation for the introductory webinar, which will be held on January 19, 2023. The Communications plan will be updated and shared again for BJA review in November.
On October 3, CSG Justice Center staff held a call with Veronica Cunningham (Executive Director/CEO, American Probation and Parole Association) and Darlene Webb (Director of Operations, American Probation and Parole Association) to discuss getting on the agenda for presenting at the American Probation and Parole’s (APPA) four regional meetings and participating on a panel at the August APPA training, as well as next steps for continued collaboration. Following this call, CSG Justice Center staff submitted proposals for all the regional meetings and coordinated with APPA on the logistics of those presentations.
Additionally, CSG Justice Center staff continued to identify other opportunities and work with other partners in the field, including the Correctional Leader Association (CLA), on meeting with corrections directors and APAI’s 2023 conference.
