All seven PSN regions received TTA during the reporting period. A TTA Smart Sheet tracker is kept current and circulated by CNA among the partners and BJA. Items in the tracker come from formal TTA requests received through the https://psntta.org/tta-request-form/. Refer to the Semi-Annual report submitted by CNA for additional details.
MSU directly delivered TTA to the following districts and developed resources during the reporting period from 7/1– 12/31/2022:
- Open DOJ solicitations were shared with, all Districts, the TTA partners and the field overall to encourage multi-faceted/over-lapping violence reduction, community improvement funding and efforts.
- Items of interest such as webinars, trainings, podcasts, current literature, etc. were shared with the Districts.
- MSU coordinated with SME, Julie Wartell to continue to provide support on Crime and Problem Analysis training for the OHN/NOVCC. Julie, Sam Palmer and Christopher Bruce delivered an in person training on July 11-15. Evaluations were completed and shared with the trainers as well as the PSN TTA Team. The evaluations were positive.

- LAM indicated continued interest in the Crime Analysis plan developed by SME, Julie Wartell.
- MSU worked with the TTA Team and ILN to develop a community survey.
- MSU continued to provide TXS support on RP roles, grant writing and regional coordination.
- MSU continued to participate in monthly Liaison calls.
- MSU continued to modify the VRAT for CVI and new award. Discussions are ongoing with CNA to transfer the tool to their platform.
- MSU continued to work with Yakima/WAE and Julie Wartell to deliver Crime Analysis training and review of the YPD's newly developed Domestic Violence Database. Onsite travel occurred on July 20-22, 2022.
- MSU continued to develop resources based on a final report of Colorado's CGIC and RAVEN programs. A draft was shared with Kate/BJA.
- MSU continued to develop resources on non-fatal shooting reviews. A draft is with Kate/BJA.
- Heather Perez continued to serve as the Pacific and South Central Analyst.
- MSU continued to work with the District of Guam and Rich Hobson to fulfill the request for the Armed Offender training. MSU and BJA have discussed how to best modify the training for current administration priorities and Rich's desire to scale back his workload.
- Heather Perez provided a list of all missing FY19 GAPs and FY18 SAPs to BJA. Kate/Steve/BJA were going to work with the few remaining sites to get completed/cleared.
- Heather Perez continued to work with BJA and EOUSA to maintain the most current PSN POC and LEC contact information.

- The MSU team continued to refine the “one-pager” on Victim/Witness guidelines. BJA and NCVC reviewed and approved the document which builds upon NCVC’s larger resources.
- The MSU team continued to assist with the development, refinement and/or maintenance of the training catalog and its contents, https://psntta.org/tta-resources/ttacatalog/.
- The MSU team continued to develop tweets, newsletter/bulletin content and webpage resources on PSN activities.
- The MSU team kept current our PSN website: https://psn.cj.msu.edu/index.html.
- Ed McGarrell continued to sit on the NIJ PSN National Evaluation review committee.
- MSU helped develop and edit the PSN member guidebook. The Guidebook was released post PSN National Summit.
- At the request of BJA/Kate/Steve, Heather worked with USVI and LAE to start discussions about the needed TTA to get their multi-years of grant awards coordinated and implemented.
- Ed and Heather continued to support WIW/Dane County/Madison by joining violent crime strategy reduction calls and providing multiple resources around criteria used to identify VRO/CVO and evaluation of the process/technique.
Heather remained in contact with Puerto Rico/Jonathan Gottlieb post on-site visit (March/April 2022).
- Heather attends weekly PSN Leadership calls.
- MSU continued to review any PSN final reports and provide a summary to BAJ/Kate.
- SME, Didi Nelson continued to assist MSU and the PSN TTA Team with requests to review documents and directly support sites. Didi then became a Site Liaison for the Southeast Region.
- MSU continued to attend bi-weekly team meetings.
- MSU worked with two SMEs and three faculty members to develop resource materials on officer retention, evidence-based officer training, body-worn camera training, crime analysis, and community engagement.
- Heather, Julie Krupa, and Chris Melde assisted GAN by reviewing a PSN Capstone project to disperse min-grants for juvenile and/or community led programs.
- MSU presented on PSN, Research Partnerships and EBP at ASC in Atlanta, on November 16.
- MSU continued assisting with planning the Winter 2023 PSN Workshops.
- Heather virtually attended the CAC PSN grant summary meeting.
- Heather assisted Nevada by providing evidence-based resources as recommendations for the PSN strategy.
- Heather assisted Colorado by providing evidence-based resources as recommendations for the PSN strategy.
- Heather connected Memphis with New Orleans for a discussion on LPRs.
- Heather connected multiple South Central Districts with Guam and Arizona on the topic of Ghost Guns.
- Heather and SME, Christian Peterson began to work with LAE on enhancing their crime and data analysis capacity.
- MSU provided Main Justice with resources on acquiring a research partner.
- Ed and Heather worked with faculty member, Allison Rojek to develop a crime analysis webinar for all PSN Districts. Allison began developing eight training modules as a companion resource.
- MSU provided Main Justice with Smart Suite Fellows Academy resources.
- Heather connected CAC and Alaska on School-based program resources.
- MSU began working on setting up an interview with the authors of the recent PSN meta-analysis study: https://psntta.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/A-Systematic-Review-of-Pr…. The video will be a PSN resource.
- Heather began working with Green Bay, WI and Brookhaven, GA to schedule an onsite crime analysis capacity assessment to occur at the beginning of 2023.
- MSU began working with NOVCC/OHN to identify speakers and resources for their 2023 grant meeting.
