Assistance delivered included: review of grant narrative, goals and objectives, PA3, resources shared included the no cost extension letter, GAM Link, OJP Financial Management Training, Budget review, staffing plan, due to staff turnover reviewed items with new staff when necessary, reviewed healing to wellness court deliverables, assisted with no cost extension process, to include new task and timeline, budget review and review and assistance with letter, sustainability planning regarding applying for additional CTAS PA2 and PA4.
(9) TA Sessions were delivered to Newhalen Village during this reporting period on: February 25, 2022, March 25, 2022, March 30, 2022, April 4, 2022, April 11, 2022, May 10, 2022, May 16, 2022, June 8, 2022, May 10, 2022, Code drafting and review judicial and public safety, reviewed deliverables, task and timelines, requested Newhalen check off all deliverables completed and compose the No Cost Extension Letter, reviewed grant narrative for each new staff member, to include deliverables, goals objectives, budgets and directed staff have new users entered to file necessary reports. Resources shared financial management link for training, referral to Cri-Tac, sent link to CTAS Grants Workshop, Assisted with no cost extension process, Lisa Jaeger drafted adoption certifications for both Public Safety Code and Judicial Code, and a intertribal agreement with Iliamna to assist in lifting up the police department. Future planning to apply for PA2 and PA4 CTAS funding.
(1) TA Session delivered to Village of Iliamna on June 8, 2022 to review intertribal agreements and discuss jurisdiction questions, diversion agreements and referral to cri-tac. Sent No Cost Extension materials to include letter, task and timeline instructions, links to instructional video and 2021 webinar materials on no cost extension.
(4) TA Sessions with Kenaitze Indian Tribe on March 1, 2022, April 5, 2022, May 3, 2022, June 7, 2022, scheduled monthly TA Sessions, to review grant and deliverables, receive program updates and ask how ATJRC can assist Kenaitze with accomplishing said deliverables one ask is to have ATJRC staff facilitate onsite visits from other tribal courts.
(4) TA Sessions with Central Council of Tlingit and Haida Tribes of Alaska in coordination with COSSAP on March 22, 2022, March 23, 2022, April 29, 2022 and June 24, 2022, reviewed goals and objectives for this grant, provided guidance on strategy to conduct talking circles, suggested resource Peacemaking Circles from conflict to community book from living justice press sent No Cost Extension Materials and instructions.
(1) TA Session with Hoonah Indian Association on March 24, 2022 to review goals and objectives and assist with the no cost extension process in coordination with the Resource Basket.
(4) TA Sessions with Chickaloon Native Village on April 13, 2022, April 15, 2022, April 25, 2022, to review goals, objectives and deliverables for PA3 Grant requested grant narrative and assisted in planning and participation for July Strategic Planning Session on site in Chickaloon, did a day trip on April 15, 2022 to Chickaloon to see their facilities and tour the community, received grant documents and a copy of court assessment, toured the school, clinic and two administrative buildings.
(3) TA Session with Native Village of Port Heiden on May 17, 2022, June 16, 2022 and June 17, 2022 to review goals and objectives and grant narrative and 2 sessions to review judicial and public safety code and update.
(4) TA Sessions with Native Village of Barrow on June 7, 2022, June 16, 2022, June 22, 2022, June 29, 2022, to orient new staff to PA3 grant, reviewed PA3, PA8 and PA9 NCE from 2021 to review deliverables and assisted with new no cost extensions, scheduled site visit for August 2022 and provided healing to wellness materials, financial management training link, JustGrants links.
(3) TA Sessions with Kipnuk TYP program to assist in collaboration with Resource Basket on No Cost Extension, reviewed grant deliverables and assisted with letter and task and timeline.
