Designed and delivered (1) Circle Keeper Training to (12) Alaska Grantees facilitated and held by: The Alaska Tribal Justice Resource Center in Collaboration with The Resource Basket. The instructor was: Circle Alaska Consulting, Curt Shuey, circlealaska@gmail.com. The training description: An in-depth exploration for village councils, community leaders and other interested community members, to strengthen the use of traditional values in the affairs of the community. To build awareness, appreciation and understanding of the principles and practices of the Peacemaking Circle. Staff in Attendance were: Eva Gregg, Caroline Lee and Laura Knapp. The six-day training dates were: August 3rd ,4th & 5th, 2021 and August 10th ,11th, & 12th, 2021. Hours of Training were 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm this equaled to (4) hours a day and a total of (24) hours of training.
In addition to the training (2) follow up meetings were held with Alaska Tribal Justice Resource Center and Resource Basket Staff, to plan a six month follow up with participants. The planning meetings were held on August 30, 2021 and November 2, 2021.
