Priority Area 1: Convene oversight committee to develop and administer IMPACTS program.
Update: The GRC did not meet in September.
CSG Justice Center staff began preparing a Phase II close-out report to be shared with the GRC, OHA, CJC, and legislative stakeholders that summarizes implementation progress to date and provides recommendations for program sustainability.
Priority Area 2: Equitably include tribal governments in IMPACTS program planning and administration.
Update: In September, CSG Justice Center continued the subcontracting process with Kauffman.
Priority Area 3: Establish program data collection, monitoring, and evaluation processes.
Update: In September, CSG Justice Center staff worked closely with CJC and OHA staff to revise grantee reporting measures to improve data collection as IMPACTS enters its second funding cycle. This included providing iterative feedback on drafts, sharing general guiding principles in grant reporting, and synthesizing implementation lessons learned and how they can inform reporting changes.
In addition, CSG Justice Center staff received updates from CJC staff regarding their subaward-funded work with OHSU to develop a state-level data collection structure and program evaluation plan.
Priority Area 4: Implement county and tribal government programs funded by IMPACTS
Update: After discussions with the core implementation team, CSG Justice Center staff have decided to focus remaining implementation technical assistance resources on tribal nation grantees and subcontract with a tribe-specific provider as described in Priority Area 2.
