The National TIRW was a 3 day virtual training facilitated by national experts and delivered to 4 tribal affiliated groups on April 6-8, 2021. TIRW workshops aim to provide participants with the tools they need to develop effective reentry plans based on the sharing of operational, organizational, and culture-based concepts and processes that result in the identification of critical services and interventions needed to reduce recidivism and victimization.
The national training was open to any tribe and covered the fundamentals of creating and improving reentry strategies. Tribes that participates in TIRW included members from, but not limited to, the following: (1) Tribal Council (relevant committee of main governing body), (2) Court/Judiciary, (3) Behavioral Health/Health Services/IHS, (4) Community-based Service Provider, (5) Community Resource Person, (6) Victims' Services, (7) Tribal Probation, (8) Tribal Prosecution, (9) Detention/Corrections, (10) Law Enforcement (i.e. Chief of Police), and (11) Budget Finance. Federal representatives included U.S. Probation, U.S. Attorney's Office, Bureau of Prisons, and Bureau of Indian Affairs.
Participating teams represented the Lower Brule Sioux Tribe (SD), Citizen Potowatomi Nation (OK), Southcentral Foundation (AK), and the Yurok Tribal Court (CA).

By submitting this application to BJA NTTAC, I understand that upon approval of this application for TTA, the requestor agrees to keep BJA NTTAC informed of any circumstances that may impact the delivery of the TTA, including changes in the date of the event, event cancellation, or difficulties communicating with the assigned TTA provider.
