The Miami, Florida Public Safety Parternship Site is requesting funding assistance for one of their lieutenants to attend a performance management training in Floral Park, NY on April 26-30, 2021. This engagement was canceled due to training being postponed until September 20-24, 2021.
This course seeks to develop strategic approaches to problems through maximum use of team building, motivation, and communication skills to enhance the leadership and management qualities essential for effective planning, cooperation, and service delivery.
Managing budgets and surviving shortfalls in the current economic climate, quantifying agency achievements and performance are also important requirements for those above supervisory level and are invariably fresh topics for those newly appointed. Other critical subjects involve staff selection and promotion practices and areas of civil liability associated with staff and procedures. This training aims to meet all those needs for middle and senior management posts and to address these topics that provide a firm basis for further professional development in an outstanding agency.
