The NRTAC team held an orientation meeting with the new CGIC grantee sites to discuss the requirements of the grant, identify key CGIC site stakeholders, detail the TTA process, and provide a brief overview of the other new CGIC grantee sites for networking purposes.
The NRTAC team conducted an initial site assessment of the Chattanooga CGIC to gain insight into existing processes, evaluate policies, discuss the goals of the agency for the CGIC, identify key stakeholders, and learn about existing challenges in gun crime investigations and prosecutions. This assessment was accomplished virtually through the Zoom platform with one NRTAC subject-matter expert on site. The findings of this assessment will be used to conduct a gap analysis and provide Chattanooga with site-specific CGIC recommendations.
The NRTAC team, due to COVID-19 related restrictions, hosted a virtual meeting over Zoom to deliver the CGIC recommendations and process map to Chattanooga Police Department. Upon delivery of the recommendations, the Chattanooga team was prepared to discuss implementation plans for each recommendation.
