Remediation is initiated by PMO and is a supportive process for auditors who have been identified by PMO as having
specific challenges or deficiencies in their auditing practice. Remediation may include focused training, assessment of improved knowledge and understanding, coaching, and practice-based work with an auditor.
The intent is for auditors going through remediation to have a plan designed specifically for their needs, and not a one-size-fits-all approach.

PRC staff developed a framework for remediation intended to provide meaningful and robust remediation opportunities for auditors identified by PMO as requiring additional support in their auditing practice. It includes a leveled approach to remediation, with increasing degrees of support and engagement. The framework relies on existing PRC resources, including trainings, webinars, and documents to complement the training and experience the auditor has already received. The framework also utilizes PRC coaching and support to provide practice-based learning opportunities to auditors in the project. By engaging with auditors in a supportive and structured manner, the remediation framework aims to elevate the audit practice of auditors referred to remediation.
