Chris is reaching out to schedule a phone call with representatives from Cuyahoga County to gauge interest in a trauma-informed approach training in Ohio. Once a phone conversation is held, if the grantee is interested, SAKI TTA will begin working with RAINN representatives to ensure sufficient and effective planning of the training is maintained. The training might be a combination of in-person and virtual delivery depending on preference of the trainer and trainees.

Chris held a phone call with RAINN representatives (Erin Earp and Camille Cooper) as well as Cuyahoga County Representatives (Rick Bell, Mary Weston, and Rachel Lovell) to talk through the trauma-informed training that RAINN is looking to implement in Ohio. Cuyahoga County suggested reaching out to larger cities in the county such as Parma, Lakewood, Euclid, or the Heights region to start with one of their jurisdictions and then spread the training outward utilizing the Police Chiefs group as a resource.
Less than 24 hours after the call, Rick Bell had identified a contact with the Parma City PD for RAINN to contact. RAINN will be reaching out to introduce themselves and SAKI TTA and talk through the possibility of hosting a training with them and other local agencies.
