On December 18, 2019 the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) hosted an online task force welcome and project orientation call for the 7 BJA grantees from the Category 2 FY2019 Enhanced Collaborative Model (ECM) BJA/OVC-funded human trafficking task forces. Task force members required to attend this meeting were: BJA Grantee Program Manager/Financial Point of Contact, BJA Grantee Lead Law Enforcement Representative, Task Force Coordinator, and other task force members were welcome and encouraged to attend. This discussion is critical to provide attendees with key updates and policy guidance on the ECM program. The webinar covered: a review of contacts for ECM Task Force support, including BJA Grant Managers, Policy Advisor, and training and technical assistance (TTA) providers; ECM project funding guidelines; guidance on BJA expectations for grant activities and deliverables; and resources available to help their task force meet grant deliverables.
