Our agency is representing this training request for the law enforcement agencies within our regional association, which includes three counties on the western border of Arizona (Mohave, LaPaz, and Yuma Counties). We would like to host this training for multiple agencies (approx. 20) as we are the central location for our regional academy and association. We would like NTTAC's assistance in providing the training "Blue Courage" to all of our officers over a multiple day format to allow our agencies to cycle our officers through the program.

How do you anticipate that the requested assistance will address the problems?
The majority of law enforcement training places a focus on specific proficiency skills. The program "Blue Courage" places an emphasis on the development of the officer's mindset. The description of the program is stated as, "an education process designed to ensure the development of a highly evolved police officer who is prepared at any moment to reflect the best of what policing demands. It is designed to forge a culture of leadership, character and service in the spirit of what democratic policing promises its citizenry. It is a process aimed at developing the right: Heart-set, Mind-set, Skill-set and Tool-set, enabling officers to meet the demands of modern policing."
