There currently is a prevailing spirit of mistrust of the Criminal Justice System among the citizenry we are sworn to serve and protect. Media, in all its forms are rife with examples of ethical, moral, and sometimes legal violations committed by those in service to the public. The Hampden County Sheriff’s Department serves to be an example to our profession by upholding and maintaining the trust and accountability due our incarcerated population and the public at large. Building trust and credibility is at the core of all rehabilitation. The focus of our request is preventative rather than corrective. The Hampden County Sheriff’s Department is seeking to be proactive with regard to internal culture. Trust must be developed and maintained within an agency before we can extend it to our populace.

- The benefits or anticipated outcomes from the receipt of TTA services.
By submitting this application to BJA NTTAC, I understand that upon approval of this application for TTA, the requestor agrees to keep BJA NTTAC informed of any circumstances that may impact the delivery of the TTA, including changes in the date of the event, event cancellation, or difficulties communicating with the assigned TTA provider.
