The Las Vegas, Nevada Municipal Court is requesting atechnical assistance in the form of consultation and data analysis. The engagement was transferred to a new contract.
The Las Vegas Municipal Court (LVMC), through a grant from the JAG, has developed and implemented a pretrial assessment tool. We are now looking to expand our research into other pretrial-related areas, including examining different types of court reminders, the timing of court reminders and whether different types and/or timing of court reminders affect different demographic groups &/or those charged with certain types of crimes differently. Unfortunately, the LVMC does not have a case management system that can accurately and reliably provide us with the data and/or reports necessary to for such examinations.

By submitting this application to BJA NTTAC, I understand that upon approval of this application for TTA, the requestor agrees to keep BJA NTTAC informed of any circumstances that may impact the delivery of the TTA, including changes in the date of the event, event cancellation, or difficulties communicating with the assigned TTA provider.

The LVMC is in the process of creating a new case management system (eCourt) but that is not scheduled to go live until September 2019. In the meantime, many of our innovative, evidence-based ideas may have to be put on hold if we can't obtain assistance.
