In collaboration with the Justice Programs Office at American University and NLADA and in furtherance of the goals of the BJA-led Right to Counsel National Campaign, NACDL, BJA, NLADA, and AU co-hosted a roundtable discussion with law enforcement about the right to counsel and how they can assist in meaningful enforcement of the 6th Amendment right.

In order to bring this event to fruition, NACDL, NLADA, AU, and BJA had to work collaboratively. NACDL created the agenda, contacted the law enforcement officers, provided attendees with information about how to attend the event, supervised the check in process, assisted in facilitating the conversation - asking additional questions when necessary.
